Middle class had biggest losses from financial crisis
It’s no surprise that the Middle Class is taking it on the chin during the recent financial troubles… we always do. The 22 Statistics That Prove The Middle Class Is Being Systematically Wiped Out Of Existence In America (see below) are worth checking out if you have the nerve. They may actually contain some logical fallacies.. for instance, when we’ve had the strongest “Middle Class” I’ll wager they still held a very small percentage of the common stock available in the nation. For the “Middle Class”, their “stock” has been their personal skills, their farm, their family business, their store, etc., not necessarily ownership in a corporation. Now, if the Middle Class were employed by someone else, they may have had a pension funded by stocks. It was when the risk and burden of such pensions were shifted to the Middle Class and they were exposed directly to the vagaries of the market that the process of their/our demise was well under way. Still, these are sobering statistics. We need a resurgence of the Middle Class. Unfortunately the State Socialist Democrats and the Corporate Welfare Republicans both work against a resurgence of the Middle Class despite their protestations to the contrary! Both are forms of oligarchy, not the widespread dissemination of wealth that sustains a “Middle Class”.
