Online Business Plan? Why Your Business Needs A Website NOW!
Do you have an online business plan? If not, I’m about to reveal why your business needs a website NOW!
I recently ran across a post titled “No website, Oh no!” and thought it was well stated.
But here’s the follow up comment that should serve as a slap in the face or a wake up call if you do not have your own business website!

I completely agree with you about having an online presence. Having spent 20 years near Boston where it seems EVERYTHING is online jaded me a bit. When we moved to the Louisville area I was dismayed by the sheer number of businesses I couldn’t find online- and frankly, it makes me distrust them a bit.
We are accustomed to seeing things in passing while we are in our travels, taking note of the name and then looking it up online when we get home and deciding if we want to check it out. A basic website costs under $10.00 a month and perhaps an hour to update and maintain. If a business owner doesn’t feel their business is worth that investment of their time/money- why should I?
Just a few years ago, an “online business” might have been considered untrustworthy… people able to flee in the night with your money. In contrast a “Brick and Mortar” business with actual overhead was considered reliable, trustworthy, and upstanding.
In just a few short years, people have become so accustomed to seeking information online, that if you don’t have an online business plan, they now wonder if you “have something to hide”!
It’s an amazing transformation. I wonder if most local businesses realize this shift has occurred?! Likely not.
At least this is one trend that’s easy to capitalize on.
Get a website!
Stop trusting blindly in “location” or even “traditional advertising”. Better yet combine traditional advertising with your website!
